Irena Krzywicka – a writer and journalist involved in the fight for women's rights, was an extraordinary person, admired but also criticized. The house she built in Podkowa Leśna at the instigation of her friend, Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz, was also unusual for its time. He was considered modern. A flat-roof bungalow, with a stone terrace and a glass wall facing the garden, looks a bit like an aquarium.
